The newest prepaid cell phone plans from TracFone are not even being sold under the name of TracFone. Interestingly enough, they are being sold at Wal-Mart locations across the country.

The newest prepaid plans from TracFone are called Straight Talk plans. Many people have begun to seriously consider these prepaid plans to be some of the best in the business as a whole-not just the prepaid segment. Straight Talk runs on a virtual mobile network that piggybacks on the high quality Verizon network. This means that for prepaid prices, you get top-notch connectivity with your network.

No longer will prepaid users have to settle for second best in terms of network. You have to wonder what Verizon is getting out of the deal. It is probably a very good way for Verizon to get entrenched in the prepaid phone industry and do some serious testing.

One of the Straight Talk plans is an unlimited plan, a style of plan that is becoming more and more popular as the days go by it seems. Other wireless providers have unlimited plans including Boost Mobile, Cricket/Leap Wireless, and AT&T. The last one on this list-AT&T-made a decent sized splash when it released its new and improved pay as you go network plans that are on sale now.

With the new TracFone Straight Talk prepaid cell phone plans you get to talk as much as you want, you get to send as many text messages as you want, and you get to browse the internet from your phone as long as you want. Truly, it lives up to its name. There is a decent selection of phones to choose from.

The second plan is a little bit cheaper, $30 compared to $45 for the one described above, and allows the subscribers to use 1,000 minutes of talk, 1,000 text messages, and 30 megabytes of data. It is also a respectable plan and one that several people have called the best in the business.

It’s a great time to be looking for a cheap prepaid phone plan. If you’re looking now, you have a lot to choose from.

How Verizon Straight Talk Works

Straight Talk, Tracfone and Net10 LG 200c and Samsung R451c Phones

The Straight Talk programs have been built to be competitive with contract cellular phone plans. A contract mobile phone plan will require you to sign a one year or two year long term contract to get service. Straight Talk Wireless Prepaid is prepaid so that you make payment for for your service prior to using it and if you use your units or the time period expires you lose service. You will not have a termination fee and if you want to begin service just as before you will have to purchase a Straight Talk Prepaid cellular phone card and reactivate your phone.

Tracfone Straight Talk is a partnership between Walmart, Tracfone and Verizon. All phones are CDMA and work on the Verizon Wireless network.

Straight Talk has two programs the $30 per 30 days All You Need plan and the $45 per 30 days Unlimited plan.
